Part 1: History RepeatingHe walked along the alleyways, the full moon shining overhead. It was a night like any other. Ever since Eggman had taken over, it had been nothing but fighting with no clear victory in sight. How many times had he done this before? How long would it be before he would finally find the peace he'd been fighting for? The world always called on him to face the threats, even when they'd lost any faith in him. Even his friends, while valiant at first, began to lose hope as time passed. Now, he was the only one left. He had no one to turn to. Even when he was broken and bleeding, no one would be there to come to his aid. How could he have been so stupid before? Leaving Eggman alone while everyone went into the time cage? All it did was turn the world into a warzone. As the rain began to pour down, and the memories started racing, Sonic wondered if any of this was even worth it. He wasn't sure. And so, he did what he did best, he ran.

With the old legends of Sonic and friends in his heart, he continues the fight even when it seems hopeless. But at times, he could think of the possibilities were he to find a way into the past. He could reverse the flow of history and prevent Eggman from ever gaining the powers he did. As Eggman gained supporters over the years, a common question Silver had to face was if what he was doing was the right thing, and if his victory would mean anything. But in his heart, he knew. Now it was all up to him. He would change history, today! nough of these small battles, it was time to take on one of Eggman's' main bases! Time to pick the stage.

Part 3: Can't Stop The TopCrisis City, a town that for some had been consumed by flames and lava, that even its original name had all but been burned away. Here was where one of Eggman's' eight robot generals resided. Everyone knew of them, but not who they were. Waiting at the center of the city, a purple feline with a robotic lower body was convinced that she would bring glory to Eggman, and start an all new nation for robots. Brandishing a rapier, she then ordered her robot cat minions to attack. As Silver approached, the lesser robots did nothing to slow him down. This mattered little to the general; She wanted the hedgehog to herself anyway. After giving a speech about how Silver stood no chance, the two clashed head on. Blaze, as she called herself, proved her worth. Thanks to the purple Chaos Emerald, she could break free from Silver's' telekinesis, and not even bullets redirected from her minions could stop her as she danced across entire buildings. However, as the battle took to the air, Silver came out on top. Claiming the Chaos Emerald as his own, all he could wonder was about what his opponent has said. Could she truly have been the Blaze from the old stories? Impossible...

Part 4: Don't Mess With MagnetmanThe ruined Chemical Plant was where the fabled "Magnetman" resided. Little known was that this "Magnetman" was actually a woman. She was a pink, female hedgehog to be exact. With Silver approaching, all she could see was the shadow of her old love. Did the chemicals that spill from this place cause her insanity? Or was it her robotized eyes? Her mind only saw her foe as the black hedgehog she'd grown to hate long ago. Wasting no time, Amy launched herself at Silver with hammer in hand. Her hammer's' head had been replaced with two powerful magnets that she could control with the help of the white Chaos Emerald. Trapping Silver between the pull of both magnets, she began pleading with him to change, or else. Not knowing what she was talking about, the silver hedgehog focused his mind on the magnets, slowly crushing them. All the while, Amy could only watch as her attacker now resembled her old love, and she was defeated.

Part 5: You've Sparked A WarAn army marched through the ruins of the Sky Sanctuary, the area now grounded and torn to pieces. At the head of this robot echidna force was a red echidna wielding a blade in each hand. Having learned what had hapened to two generals, he decided to give a speech to raise his troops moral. "Heroes" like Silver were the reason this war started in the first place, and with the Red Chaos Emereald, Knuckles couldn't lose. The troops soon proved to be no match for Silver though, forcing Knuckles to step in. Thanks to his now robotized arms, his minor electric powers had grown, making him a dangerous opponent. As the battle grew more fierce, Silver managed to catch a stray bolt, and discovered that with his powers, he could dissipate hi foe's' lightning! This gave him the edge he needed to win, and claim the Emerald for himself. Yet at the back of his mind, he wondered. Could all of these robot troops really be...?

Part 6: Walk Away From LightAnother ruined city without a name. Known for it's glorious rooftops, the place seemed void of any real enemies. The only opposition with a large croc with a robotized torso. It seemed as though Eggman had tried to turn him into an entirely different species all together. He eyes certainly weren't the kind you saw on crocodiles. Silver braced himself, but saw no agresion coming from the general. Vector was the one standing tall. He explained that he and the other generals were indeed the heroes of old, and all he wanted was for Silver to hear him out. Serving Eggman was the greatest thing to happen to them all, and he wanted Silver on their side as well. So many lives could be saved if he accepted the invitation. All that was needed was Silver's' loyalty. Silver refused, with Vector still trying to find words to convince him. He even went so afr as to say they were the same, and that Silver could be so much more, he could find a greater purpose were he to just accept the robotization process. With Silver still refusing, Vector relented, opting to simply crush Silver beneath his heel instead. And so the battle was on. Despite the arsenal of different guns that Vector could use simply by opening his mouth, they did little against Silver's' telekinetics. The battle didn't last long, and the Green Chaos Emerald was now Silver's'. And yet, he couldn't help but feel guilty about all that he had done and would continue to do. There was no other solution in sight, and so he had no choice but to keep moving forward towards his dream.

Part 8: Gamma UnchainedDeep in a chamber within Eggman's' main base, he had been monitoring all that was going on with Silver and his taking down each general one by one. He knew how this routine worked, and thus he worked on a back-up plan. His next greatest project. The revival of Chaos Gamma, only upgraded to the point of being one of his strongest machines. Yes, this would bring peace to the world. He didn't understand why the world didn't see his brilliance. His wanting to unlock the mysteries of life were seen as criminal. Had he gone insane and nothing was as it seemed? Even if that were so, it was too late to turn back now. Eggman had no choice but to move forward. Yes, soon his life's' ambition would be realized! The world would bow at his feet! Gamma was not the only thing the Doctor had brought back to life, however. Recently, his on-and-off enemy Shadow's' body had been recovered, and Ivo had done everything he could to bring him back to life. However, Shadow's' revival only seemed to fill his heart with rage, and he wanted nothing more than to take his vengeance out on Silver. It mattered not. Chaos Gamma was now complete. His systems booting and his limbs constantly transforming, this would bring an end to everything. But it seemed Gamma gained a mind of its own, and flew off on his own. He seemed to be headed straight for the enemy Hedgehog, but there was no way to be sure. All that could be done now, was wait.

Part 9: To Watch You DieA being made of metal, he stood atop a tower, watching everything unfold. With his internal system it was easy to see it all. He remembered when he used to work for Eggman to help realize his dream of a better world, but now he knew that the Doctor had gone too far, and the dream was dead. Was it due to a sense of righteousness, or because Eggman had discarded him so long ago? Now his support was for Silver, even if it was only morally. He wanted to see the Doctor ended, and knew that Silver could be the one to do it. It was almost sad, but it was something that had to be done. The memories in his head about how the Doctor used to lament on his actions and be supportive, but that's all they were now, memories. Metal Sonic decided it was perhaps time to be more direct. And so, seeing Chaos Gamma being released and Silver heading to the next base, he transformed into his new body, that of Neo Metal Sonic, and raised his hands towards the sky. Soon, a bolt of lightning struck down on the area, blowing the tower to pieces, with no sign of the robot anywhere. This war was finally making a great advance, and might soon come to an end.

Part 10: ContinueSilver sat under the cover of a ruined building in the dead of night. Never had he faced opponents so strong, or so confusing. If it was true they were all the heroes of old, why would they all join Eggman? What was it that went on so many years ago that caused this future to happen? All he could do was lay back and rest. He'd have more fighting to do in the morning. Shadow watched at the top of a mountain. He thought about his old life, one where humanity had turned on him. They had blamed him for the tragedies that went on and sealed him away to die. His heart was now filled with rage, and he would exact his revenge. He had no choice now but to serve the man he once fought against, and attack those he once protected. Why was it that Sonic suddenly disappeared all of those years ago? Why would he just up and abandon the world as he did? None of it made sense, but one thing was for sure. They wouldn't make the same mistake he did. They weren't going to run away. They would face their destinies, no matter how hard the fight, they would Continue on.
