To the two or three viewers out there, welcome to this Let's Play. In it, we'll be covering the story and damn near all of the post game content. We'll also let you determine our party of city destroying beasts. Sound exciting? Probably not, but let's dive in anyway.
Part 1: You're looking at it.
Part 2: Here.
Part 3: Here.
Part 4: Here.
First and foremost, give this intro a watch.
Most of the Let's Play will be screenshots. I'll be recording the key fights though.
Like so. This is the Unova Link.
We'll be using the key feature here, but Memory Link requires mention.
Using Memory Link, you can download data from the previous Black and White games to unlock bonus cutscenes in this game. The previous main hero will also be referred to by the name you chose in the previous game. Alas, we won't be able to use this feature.
This here is the difficulty setting, unlocked only after you've beaten the game.
This allows you to set the game specific city to whichever you desire. I'm fairly certain you unlock the option by linking up with the opposite version of the game.
And this is purely post game. We won't be seeing it for a long while.
Easy mode here is... Well, easy mode. You unlock it in White 2 by beating the game.
This is the default mode.
And this is Challenge Mode, which is unlocked by beating Black 2. You can access the opposite game's mode by linking up with them. We'll be going with this mode because... Eh. Why not.
Standard stuff. It's up to the thread to decide.
As is the protagonist's name.
And the Rival's.
You also get to choose our starter Pokemon. You can even opt to ignore it entirely and replace it as soon as we can. I'll list their stats, evolutions, and a general summary regarding them below.
This is Snivy. He's an asshole.
...
Need more? Alright. He evolves at level 17, and then again at 36. His line is speedy and defensive, with modest attacking stats. His HP is also fairly average. They're all pure Grass Types. His base stats once he's fully evolved:
HP: 75
Attack: 75
Defense: 95
Special Attack: 75
Special Defense: 95
Speed: 113
Speedy, tanky, acceptable offensively, but with a fairly shallow move pool. He's good at Grass type attacks and that's just about all he'll ever use. A solid choice.
It's Bacon! I mean Tepig.
He evolves at level 17, and then again at 36. This is about as close to a tank as we get with the starters. He has a beefy HP pool, sky high attack, solid special attack, but... His defenses and speed are pretty lackluster. The base form is Fire Type, but the evolved forms are a mix of Fighting and Fire. His base stats once he's fully evolved:
HP: 115
Attack: 123
Defense: 65
Special Attack: 100
Special Defense: 65
Speed: 65
Fairly spread out move pool though, so you can make him work fairly well.
This is Oshawott.
He evolves at level 17, and then again at 36. Catch the pattern yet? This guy... Take Bacon up there, but balance his stats out and give him a move pool just as solid. Then make it a samurai. You have Oshawott in a nutshell. He also remains a pure Water Type after evolution. His base stats once he's fully evolved:
HP: 95
Attack: 100
Defense: 85
Special Attack: 108
Special Defense: 70
Speed: 70
Very solid attacking stats, passable defense, but... Speed leaves a bit to desire. Don't be fooled though, he can rip through things if given the chance.
So there you have it! Cast in your votes for gender, names, and starter.
